Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Security Supervisor to oversee and coordinate our security team. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety of our clients' properties and personnel. The successful candidate will thrive in a results-oriented environment, demonstrating integrity and a proactive approach to security management.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Location: Kampala, Uganda
• Reporting Structure: Reports to Human Resource Manager
• Work Arrangement: On-site

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise security personnel: Oversee the activities of security guards, ensuring effective performance.

2. Conduct security patrols: Regularly patrol client premises to identify and address potential security threats.

3. Respond to security incidents: Act promptly and effectively to security incidents, such as alarms and emergencies.

4. Coordinate security operations: Manage scheduling, deployment, and logistics for security activities.

5. Monitor CCTV and access control systems: Analyze security footage and access logs for threats.

6. Investigate security incidents: Gather evidence and interview witnesses for security incidents.

7. Develop and implement security protocols: Ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.

8. Train and mentor security personnel: Provide guidance to enhance their skills and knowledge.

9. Maintain security records: Keep accurate records of incidents, patrol logs, and training.

10. Collaborate with law enforcement: Work with law enforcement agencies to address security concerns.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Post-secondary Diploma in Security Management or related fields.
• 3-5 years of relevant security experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in English and Swahili.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of security best practices, technologies, and regulations in Uganda.
• Experience collaborating with law enforcement agencies.
• Fluency in additional local languages is an advantage.
