Welcome to the Women for Green Jobs Project application form, the project seeks to recruit 30 passionate women professionals who are looking for an opportunity in the green sector to enhance their skills with the possibility of being retained in the companies in which they will be placed.

Project Overview
Challenges Uganda is part of the Challenges Group in Uganda. Our goal is to maximize enterprises' potential for extraordinary impact. We improve enterprises' capacity through learning and leadership development, strengthen enterprise ecosystems and processes, facilitate access to finance, and support enterprise innovation.

In partnership with the Shortlist, we are implementing the Women for Green Jobs Project. The Project aims to provide opportunities for 30 women who have been out of work to reintegrate into the green jobs market with a focus on upskilling them and aligning them with the current demands of the job market in the renewable energy sector. This will potentially be achieved by offering internship-structured training that can help them to be retained by the companies in which they are placed for 8 weeks on top of offering business advisory services to the participating businesses.

Application Requirements.
The following eligibility criteria apply to all women professionals seeking to participate in the project.
• Age group 23-35 years
• Hold a relevant degree or diploma with practical skills in finance, sales and marketing, and operations for companies/businesses demonstrated through previous work experience.
• Have an interest in the renewable energy sector.
• The women should be interested in working in businesses that focus on green jobs and renewable energy.
• The women should be able to upskill in the technical sector.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be fluent in both written and verbal English.
• Ability to commit to an 8-week full-time placement.

• The internship is unpaid, but the women will receive a monthly allowance to cover program-related expenses such as transport during the 8-week placement.
• The women should be based in Kampala and Wakiso.
• Previous work/internship experience and voluntary placements are an added advantage.
