Our client in the Oil & Gas industry, is looking to hire an experienced and qualified candidate as a Well Pad and Network project engineer - North

Location:      Kampala

Reports to: WellPads & Network (Offsites) Package Manager

Main accountabilities

Under the leadership of the WellPads & Network (Offsites) Package Manager, responsible for Wellpads North of Nile and associated networks.

Main Activities

  • Provide technical assistance to the WellPads & Network (Offsites) Package Manager on all matters related Wellpads & networks
  • To monitor all parties involved in the WellPads & Network (Offsites) activities (EPC Contractor - Suppliers - Project team in interface) during every phases of the development of the WellPads & Network (Offsites) (engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning)
  • To manage the interfaces of the WellPads & Network (Offsites) with the other packages (Enabling Infrastructure, Drilling, CPF). This will be made in cooperation with Tilenga Interface Manager/Engineers.
  • To ensure that the WellPads & Network (Offsites) meets all Project requirements, and complies with all applicable rules, codes and standards, specifically with regards to HSSE requirements.
  • To promote innovative and cost effective solutions

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree
  • Minimum 9 years’ experience on large industrial projects, oil & gas or refinery experience a plus (Company graduate program engineer or relevant experience).
  • Civil engineering knowledge. Proven construction and site works experience is required. Previous experience within similar job role & Environment an advantage.
  • Strong technical, analytical, innovative and commercial skills.
  • A good experience in planning, budgeting and managing interfaces, thorough understanding of the risks and the technical/commercial issues associated with the development of oil and gas projects.
  • Conversant with International, group engineering standards, as well as HSE standards.
  • Good communication skills and an aptitude for taking initiatives are essential, as is the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams. Ability to manage the relationship with key stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of result deliveries in challenging project environments.
  • French speaking is a plus.
