Job Summary

The Web Developer (PHP) will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining EPAA’s online platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience for customers booking travel services, exploring tour packages, and engaging with our digital solutions. The role involves working with PHP, web services, APIs, XML, and JSON to enhance our digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain EPAA’s websites and online booking platforms using PHP.
• Write clean, scalable code to create or modify web-based applications that support travel bookings, itinerary management, and client interactions.
• Integrate XML and JSON for dynamic data processing in travel and ticketing services.
• Develop and optimize web services and APIs for seamless interaction with airline, hotel, and visa service providers.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to enhance website functionality and customer experience.
• Ensure the security, performance, and responsiveness of all web applications.
• Maintain SEO-friendly website structures to improve online visibility and customer reach.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize travel booking workflows and online payment integrations.
• Stay up to date with the latest PHP frameworks and best practices in travel and tourism tech.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in PHP web development.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in PHP.
• Experience working with XML, JSON, and third-party API integrations (e.g., airline and hotel booking systems).
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for an enhanced user experience.
• Familiarity with PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony) is a plus.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced travel and tourism environment and adapt to customer needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in e-commerce, travel, or ticketing platforms is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with payment gateway integration for online transactions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
