JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking a skilled and an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our client’s dynamic team. They will be responsible for managing personnel and overseeing supply chain processes, ensuring the proper receipt and dispatch of goods while meeting productivity targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the receiving, dispatch, warehousing, and distribution processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage warehouse layout, optimizing space utilization, and maintaining proper organization of stock on pallets at all times.
• Inspect the quality of goods received from suppliers, addressing any damage to raw materials and coordinating necessary actions with the supplier.
• Evaluate stock levels, manage inventory for raw materials, finished goods, and spare parts, and maintain accurate records of goods received and dispatched.
• Implement the First In, First Out (FIFO) system for stock rotation and ensure regular fumigation of the warehouse.
• Submit Goods Received Notes, Delivery Notes, and Invoices to the accounts department for payment processing and obtain approval for customer goods returns.
• Ensure compliance with warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation, and maintain health, safety, hygiene, and security standards within the warehouse environment.
• Safeguard warehouse operations, machinery, and inventory by enforcing security protocols and overseeing planned maintenance for vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
• Keep stock control systems updated, conduct weekly/monthly physical counts, and reconcile with the data storage system to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse through layout improvements, equipment inspections, repair work orders, and requisitioning replacements.
• Supervise warehouse staff, schedule and assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching, counseling, and discipline to ensure productivity targets are met.
• Produce regular reports (e.g., IN/OUT status report, dead stock report) and organize store operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate operations, enforce policies, and foster teamwork within the workforce to meet or exceed performance objectives.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and according to plan.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably in a multinational company or a reputable organization.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, supply chain processes, and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage people effectively, and collaborate across departments.
• Fluency in English and the local language, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills for managing daily warehouse operations and resolving logistical challenges.
