Future Options Consulting is hiring a Warehouse Manager responsible for overseeing daily operations, including receiving storage, and shipping, to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate inventory management. The will the lead staff under him/her, maintain safety standards, manage inventory accuracy and optimize logistics to meet company performance goals.
Our esteemed client, a prominent pharmaceutical importer and distributor of pharmaceutical products and surgicals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and batch numbers to prevent shortages or wastage.
- Ensure operations follow GMP, GDP, and local drug authority regulations
- Maintain proper temperature, humidity, and segregation of products (e.g., cold chain, controlled drugs).
- Oversee picking, packing, and dispatch of pharmaceutical orders accurately and on time.
- Handle product recalls, quarantines, and damaged/expired stock procedures.
- Manage warehouse staff, schedules, and training on SOPs and safety.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and traceability.
- Health & safety: Enforce safe handling of medicines and warehouse safety standards
- Responsible for organizing the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse goods, and products to feed business operations and customer demand
- Lead the creation and implementation of best practice warehouse strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
- Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times
- Ensure inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled utilizing the help of the warehouse team
- Continuously review ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as deliver continuous improvement initiatives
- Create policies and procedures for warehouse activities and ensure all systems meet the standards for accreditation in line with the quality systems
- Establish, monitor, and maintain high standards of security in the warehouse by setting security procedures
- Apply the principles of FEFO and/or FIFO as appropriate
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Stores Management or Bachelors’ Degree in Business or any related field
- Details of experience
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical warehouse management is an added advantage
- Knowledge, skills and competences
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional computer and MS-Office skills
- Strong Leadership skills to effectively manage the warehouse team
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management
- Proven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills coupled with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels within the business
- Ability to build, lead and motivate a skilled team able to meet objectives
- Make useful links to arrive at insightful plans and solutions
- Confident, rounded thinking, take ownership for team cohesion and team development, self-aware, optimistic, and open to change
- Exceptional problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight dead lines
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team
- Working knowledge of Tally accounting system
