Position Summary:

As a Waitress at Masheda Palms Resort, you will be expected to provide exceptional service to guests in a luxury resort setting, ensuring a memorable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area while upholding the resort’s high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Guest Service:

  • Greet guests warmly, present menus, and offer assistance with menu selections.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, including special dietary requests.
  • Provide recommendations on food and drink pairings, as well as special resort offerings.
  • Ensure guests’ needs are met promptly and professionally, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Handle guest inquiries or concerns with tact and a sense of urgency to resolve any issues or concerns.

2. Food and Beverage Service:

  • Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Verify that orders are correct before serving and ensure that meals are presented attractively.
  • Clear tables efficiently and maintain a clean and tidy dining environment.
  • Refill beverages and ensure that guests are comfortable throughout their meal.
  • Assist with room service orders or bar service, as needed.

3. Communication:

  • Maintain effective communication with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation.
  • Coordinate with other restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.

4. Sales and Upselling:

  • Promote restaurant specials, events, and seasonal offerings.
  • Suggestively sell additional items to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.

5. Cleanliness and Organization:

  • Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and ready for guest seating at all times.
  • Set and reset tables, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary utensils, condiments, and napkins.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and sanitized work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.

6. Compliance:

  • Adhere to all resort policies and procedures, including safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in other tasks as needed, such as stocking supplies or assisting with special events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, resort, or hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including basic wine and cocktail pairings, is a plus.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash, processing payments, and managing bills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift trays or carry heavy items as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a luxury resort or upscale dining environment.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus, especially if the resort caters to international guests.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays or food for extended periods.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds when needed.
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
