About Organisation:

Women Human Rights Defenders Network Uganda (WHRDN-U), is a registered not for profit national network with a membership of more than 97 women organizations and individuals. The WHRDN-U, was founded in 2017 by women defenders to promote a feminist holistic approach integrating a gender perspective, focusing on building supportive networks and coordination among WHRDs from diverse social movements and causes in Uganda. Thereby building the capacity for protection of WHRDs, offering protection and emergency response for WHRDs at risk, and Advocacy for protection of WHRDs.

 

Job Summary:   The M&E Volunteer will support the effective monitoring and evaluation of projects and programs at WHRDN-U, ensuring that they are implemented efficiently, achieve their objectives, and generate valuable insights for continuous learning and improvement.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of M&E frameworks and tools.
  • Collect data through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other methods.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry and management.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to measure project outcomes and impacts.
  • Prepare regular M&E reports, summarizing findings, and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Create visual aids (charts, graphs) to present data in an accessible format.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices from project activities.
  • Assist in the creation of case studies, success stories, and other knowledge-sharing materials.
  • Support the dissemination of M&E findings to stakeholders through presentations and reports.
  • Provide support and training to staff on M&E processes and tools.
  • Support implementation of all M&E Evaluation Activities
  • Maintain organized files and records of M&E documents.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One year of related work experience
  • Analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal  communication skills.
  • Experience with data collection methods and M&E processes is desirable.
  • At least one year of experience with women’s Rights Organizations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
