Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. The mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs using diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, and exhaust systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and necessary repairs.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Perform electrical system diagnostics and repairs, including wiring and battery issues.
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs are completed.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics and apprentices.
  • Order and manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for repairs.
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Participate in continuous training and development programs to enhance skills.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines and warranty requirements during repairs and maintenance.
  • Contribute to workshop cleanliness and organization, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in automotive technology is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a vehicle mechanic or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Valid valid driver's license essential but not necessary.

Working Conditions:

  • The role may require standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
  • Exposure to chemicals, noise, and moving vehicles.
