Job Summary

Reporting to the Underwriting Manager, the role holder will be responsible for planning and pricing of corporate business life insurance and determining the risk of insuring clients in accordance with the agreed business plans, existing capabilities and competences of UAP Old Mutual Life Assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse information in insurance applications
• Determine the risk of insuring a client
• Write quotes and negatiating terms with brokers and customers
• Evaluate recommendations from the underwriting software
• Contact field representatives, Medical personnel and others to obtain further information
• Preparing insurance policy terms and Conditrions
• Decide whether to offer insurance
• Determin appropiate premiums and amounts of coverage
• Liaising with insurance brokers, agents & customers

Minimum qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in insurance underwriting and client servicing for Life Assurance business
• Bachelors’ degree in Actuarial Sciences, Quantitative Mathematic or any other Bussiness Finance, Statistical degree
• Additional professional qualifications in Insurance is desiring and considered additional achievement.
• Entreprenuel drive and busuness development expereince
• Leadership skills with strong intellect and vision
