JOB DETAILS:

Purpose of the Job

To assist the Transport Officer in planning, managing and monitoring the transport system and operations of the University fleet.

Responsibilities

  • To coordinate the operation and maintenance of all vehicles and tracks daily allocations.
  • To maintain records for due date of renewal of vehicle licenses and insurance.
  • To prepare monthly status report on all vehicles and their allocations in or out of the University.
  • To issue fuel and maintain proper records of supervision of drivers and their welfare.
  • To maintain proper records on all vehicles servicing schedules and garages that service, repair university vehicles.
  • To perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

Key Outputs

  • Operations and maintenance of all vehicles and tracks coordinated.
  • Records for renewal of vehicle licenses and insurance maintained.
  • Monthly status report on all vehicle allocations prepared.
  • Fuel issued and proper records of supervision of drivers maintained.
  • Records on vehicle servicing schedules and garages maintained.

Requirements

  • Should have a Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university/institution.
  • Must have strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Should be computer literate, capable of using computer software packages.
  • Should have three (3) years’ work experience in management of fleet of vehicles.
  • Should have sound knowledge in project management, strategic planning and budgeting.
  • Age Limit: Not above 55 years old at the time of application.

  • Rejected – Your application was not successful.

6. Prepare for the Interview (If Shortlisted)
