Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Trade Reconciliation Officer based in Masindi. The Trade Reconciliation Officer will oversee the daily reconciliation of trade transactions, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with relevant policies. Responsibilities include analyzing trading activities and financial records, managing letters of credit, and collaborating with teams to resolve discrepancies. Additionally, the Trade Reconciliation Officer will maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth trade operations.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills for reconciling transactions and identifying discrepancies
Understanding and practical experience in Trading and Finance
Proficient Communication skills to interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members effectively
- Reconcile executed trades across contracts, ERP systems, GRNs, WHRs & delivery records
- Track and resolve quantity, pricing, documentation & settlement breaks
- Reconcile physical stock movements with contractual and inventory positions
- Maintain audit-ready trade documentation and reporting
Collaborate closely with Trading, Operations, Finance & warehouse teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- 2–5 years’ experience in trade reconciliation, trade support, or commodity operations/finance
- Strong understanding of physical commodity trading and inventory documentation
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with ERP or trading systems
- High attention to detail, strong ownership, and ability to resolve issues proactively
