Touton Uganda Ltd is one of the largest green coffee exporters in Uganda.
Job Summary:
This position will primarily be playing a major part in assisting the trade aspect of Touton Uganda Limited. Working with the Trade department, this position will be responsible for managing market studies, suppliers contracts, daily positions for the commodities that company is actively sourcing such as Coffee, Cocoa, Bird eye chili and Vanilla.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- On a daily basis, the individual will be required to monitor the domestic market in order to make sound decisions and recommendations of pricing
- Responsible for building, developing and maintaining strong client relationships for Coffee, Cocoa, Bird eye chili and Vanilla in order to grow new and existing business opportunities.
- Responsible for reporting and monitoring suppliersdeliveries and monitoring market exposure
- Communicate marketing and pricing informations through daily market reports
- Liaise closely with other departments such as Sustainability and Quality to ensure client needs are met and contracts fulfilled on timely and efficient manner.
- Liaise closely with the quality department taking part in daily cupping sessions as well as interacting regularly with the logistics and export team on the management of client samples.
- Assist in the sales/purchase contract creation, documentation and contractual approval/verification
- Provide support and guidance to ensure compliance with all market regulations and adherence to internal control processes.
- Responsible for Regional crop production estimates and balance sheets and being available for frequent survey trips upcountry
Qualifications
- A university Degree in Business or related field
- At least two years of relevant experience in procurement/souring operations, Agri-products sourcing/purchasing or trading commodities.
- Sound knowledge of Uganda coffee, cocoa and vanilla grades and qualities.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately, under pressureand think quickly.
- Good computer & working knowledge of Excel (formulation/models) and Microsoft office in general.
- Confident and articulate, able to communicate ideas clearly to a diverse audience (written & verbal).
