Job Summary:
The Town Agent will oversee the administration of urban councils within the district, working closely with local leaders and residents to ensure effective implementation of government programs. This position involves community engagement, managing public services, and providing support in the development and implementation of urban policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate community-based activities in urban areas.
• Assist in the planning and execution of government projects.
• Serve as a liaison between the district and the urban community.
• Provide reports on the status of urban projects and local development.
• Ensure compliance with national policies and regulations in urban councils.
Qualifications:
• A relevant degree or diploma in public administration, social sciences, or related fields.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and government officials.
• Prior experience in community management or local government is an advantage.

• Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the under listed vacant posts that exist in Sironko District Local Government.
