JOB DETAILS:
To ensure all quality standards are met and to guarantee timely and high-quality installation of electronic security systems and solutions, ensuring client satisfaction with service delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operations-External
- Ensure all the alarm systems and other installations are done according to the required quality standards.
- Report any additional requirements not quoted for to the client and the supervisor in writing through the job card and inform them verbally as well.
- Ensure security of client’s property and maintain tidiness of the premises while attending to assignments.
- Responsible for completing installations within the quoted time frame (any variations must be reported to the supervisor in good time)
- Maintain a high quality, professional and service-oriented company image with customers.
- Responsible for problem escalation and communication with the supervisor, as required.
- Respond to and resolve system and application problems during periods of high volume.
- To implement installation, maintenance and service procedures.
- In liaison with the Technical Manager, ensure that alarm transmission equipment, control room alarm receivers, VHF radios and related alarm equipment are up to date and in good working condition.
- Visit clients regularly as part of the maintenance and service program.
- Attending to clients’ complaints and provide advice on proper system handling.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Dimensions/KPIs
- Zero complaints from new installations regarding system faults or failures.
- Achieve man-hour productivity of an average of 6 hours per working day.
- Ensure all jobs are completed as per the quality standards and are done within the quoted number of days.
- 100% adherence to timekeeping and zero absenteeism.
Minimum Requirements and Competencies
- A diploma or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology with a willingness to pursue a degree.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in intruder alarm systems, fire systems and access control.
- Working knowledge of multiple security functions and security-driven technology solutions will be an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail in conducting inspections and maintenance, with problem-solving ability using creativity and logic.
- Good time management and knowledge of safety standards.
