Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical support and training to existing customers in the area of operation.
  • Regularly visiting customers in the field to assist with technical and commercial improvements to achieve success for the farmer.
  • Frequently holding farmers’ meetings and technical trainings.
  • Attending to any complaints on chick or feed quality
  • Improve farmer’s management practices so that they are successful enough to survive and grow their business.
  • Promote Vitachick products at the branches and agents through regular interaction with customers/farmers in the area of operation as well as by participating in any promotional events that may be organised by the Company.
  • Seek out new customers in the area of operation and expand Vitachick customer base so that the Company maximises its sales potential.
  • Get to know customer’s objectives, buying patterns, their rearing system, standard of management, potential for growth to leverage revenue from the relationship and promote the company as a quality supplier with the aim of achieving “preferred’ supplier status.
  • Share feedback to management on poultry market and other livestock market in the area of operation – market trends, competitor activity & pricing, performance of our own products, sales opportunities for other poultry related products or other livestock related products.
  • Collaborate closely with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of our products to customers/farmers
  • Identify any other sales opportunities that may exist in the marketplace for poultry products or other livestock products.
  • Obtain new customers for the business.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Gather market information and feedback to the business.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Supervisors and Branch Assistant Supervisors and promoters to create demand for the Vitachick brand/s.
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of Degree or Diploma in Agricultural, Animal Husbandry or Veterinary field.
  • A prior training in Professional Selling skills or in Customer Care is an added advantage.
  • 1-3 years working experience in a similar role in a busy, commercial environment.
