As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of their tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and reconcile the tax ledgers on the URA portal.
- Maintain transfer pricing documentation.
- Liaise with tax consultants during annual tax health checks.
- Engage URA to resolve pending tax matters, maintain a file of URA correspondences, and knowledge of WHT vs VAT on imported services and VAT vs. Income Tax.
- Review and reconcile tax accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Analyze financial statements and reports to identify tax implications and opportunities for tax savings.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to support the completion of tax audits and inquiries.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the company's tax position.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections for tax planning purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure tax compliance and alignment with business objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on tax-related matters, including transaction structuring and compliance requirements.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Education, Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
- At least two years’ experience as a Tax Consultant in a big Audit firm, or 4 years’ experience at a mid-tier audit firm.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and financial management systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify tax implications.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate complex tax concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Experience with international tax issues and transfer pricing is desirable but not required.
