JOB DETAILS:

To support the bank’s Talent Management Strategy while serving as the HR Business Partner for the Business Development Team. Serve as an integral member of the bank’s Human Resource Team and actively participate in all HR Department activities.

Key responsibilities

1. Formulate the HR Talent and recruitment Strategy, giving careful consideration to the overall business plan, best practice, and cost effectiveness.

2. Implement a Talent Management Strategy to recruit, attract, develop, reward and retain the best people to compete effectively in the market place.

3. In liaison with hiring managers fill all the bank’s vacant positions within the set timelines.

4. Working with the marketing team, design artwork for job adverts, communicate role specifications and job descriptions, upload the same on the bank website and circulate widely to attract the most suitable candidates.

5. Take down job adverts whose deadline has passed from the website and have a clean and up to date careers page.

6. Long list for all roles advertised and thereafter work with hiring managers to shortlist and arrive at the most suitable candidates for interviews. Maintain a database of all applicants and their details plus decisions taken for future reference.

7. Liaise with line managers and hiring managers on interview questions and key competences to look out for in candidates.

8. Schedule, arrange for, invite candidates, constitute panels, attend and conduct interviews as and when required.

9. Give timely feedback to candidates after interviews on whether they are successful or not.

10. Compile interview reports for each vacancy hired for indicating all the requisite details and recommendations of the successful candidates and decisions made on other candidates.

11. Obtain timely approvals for hire following completion of the relevant processes.

12. Conduct and document comprehensive background checks on candidates before they are hired.

13. Compile and submit Monthly, Quarterly, Bi – annual and annual Talent and resourcing reports to your supervisor.

14. Implement HR engagement initiatives for the Business Development Team to support an enabling working environment to facilitate staff motivation.

15. Support the implementation of a robust performance management framework in line with the Bank’s strategy for the Business Development Team.

16. Working with the Learning and Development manager and line managers, implement relevant Training and Development programs to equip the Bank with a high performing employees in the Business Development Team.

17. Support the implementation of a competitive yet cost efficient reward strategy that drives results and enables attraction and retention of competent and high performing employees.

18. Maintain effective internal communication to all employees on Talent and Resourcing initiatives in line with bank’s procedures, best HR practice and Labor Laws.

19. Work with the Business Development Team to implement the Human Resources Programs in line with functional business plans.

20. Drive alignment of structural and manpower changes including transfers, redesignations, promotions and temporary assignments for maximum efficiency and productivity within the Bank.

21. Working with the rest of the HR Team, provide timely and efficient general HR services to support the business and the HR Department.

22. Any other duty as may be assigned to you by Management or your immediate supervisor

Required Qualifications and Skills

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Social sciences, Management, SWSA, or Business Related field.

2. A post graduate qualification in Human Resource is an added advantage.

3. At Least 5 years of Generalist Human Resources Experience.

4. Banking experience is desirable.

5. Knowledge and skills in personnel recruitment & selection, Talent Management, Change Management.

6. Knowledge & skills in Performance management, Employee Engagement, Compensation and Benefits.

7. Knowledge of Labor laws and any other relevant legislation.

8. Industry and banking business awareness

9. Membership of a professional Human Resource body e.g. HRMAU, CIPD
