The Ministry of Health (MoH) received funding from the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) as well as build strong, resilient systems for health to tackle current and new emerging threats. The Ministry of Health therefore seeks to invite suitably qualified Candidates to fill positions on the Global Fund Program. The summary of the positions is as indicated below. Responsibilities or duties

To manage the server, IT and network infrastructures in the program. The System Administrator will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical assistance to the Health Information division for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, planning, operation, and maintenance of digital health and health information systems and related infrastructure.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Applicants should be Ugandans holding
  • An Honours Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software engineering and Computer Engineering, Information Security, Telecom engineering, electrical engineering or Science (with focus on computer science, mathematics)
  • A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a recognized University/Institution.
  • A professional Qualification in ITIL (Information technology infrastructure Library)
  • Proficiency in Linux and Microsoft technologies.

Experience needed

  • At least 7-years of working experience as in Government or, an equivalent level of systems administrator work experience from a reputable organization and national level in digital health and information systems, especially in national scale deployment and maintaining digital health and health information systems. experience in donor funded projects and public sector is an added advantage.
