Qualifications and experience:

1. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering.

2. Must have at least two (2) years of work experience in a busy environment.

3. Professional certifications in MCSE, CCNA will be an added advantage.

4. Must be a mature & committed Christian

5. Must have good knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP networking is an added advantage

6. Experience in thin client computing and Virtualization is key

7. Experience in setting up and administering digital library services is key

8. Good knowledge and understanding of Windows Server administration

9. Knowledge of VoIP functionality is an added advantage

Main duties and Responsibilities:

1. Administer active directory, preferably Open LDAP

2. Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.

3. Administer enterprise mail servers in Open-source environment (Linux/UNIX)

4. Maintenance of IP services like DNS, Web servers, Internet Gateways, all based on Linux/UNIX

5. Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.

6. Ensure that the design of all systems allows all components to work properly together.

7. Ensure efficiency and availability of all Management Information Systems.

8. Maintain network and system security as well as perform security updates and patches.
