Job Purpose:
The Surveyor will be responsible for measuring and mapping land features to support construction and development projects. This role involves conducting site surveys, analyzing data, and providing essential information for project design and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys and prepare accurate maps, reports, and drawings.
- Utilize surveying instruments and technology (e.g., GPS, total stations) to collect data.
- Analyze survey data to determine property boundaries, topography, and land features.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to support project development.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, zoning laws, and safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of survey activities and findings.
- Provide recommendations based on survey results to guide project decisions.
- Stay updated on advancements in surveying technology and methodologies.
Candidate Specifications:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geometrics, or a related field.
- Professional licensure (e.g., Licensed Land Surveyor) is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in land surveying or related fields.
- Experience with project management and client interactions is an advantage.
Critical Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS [Geographical Information System}).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work in diverse environments and conditions.
