JOB DETAILS:
B1. Overall Purpose of the Job
The primary objective of this role is to oversee all boiler-related operations and coordinate the work of subordinates in the boiler house to ensure maximum steam generation for efficient operation of the factory's prime movers.

Key Responsibilities
1. Boiler Operations:
o Oversee routine and emergency boiler operation activities in the boiler area.
o Ensure boiler equipment is always in good working condition.
2. Water Management:
o Ensure the availability of sufficient feeder water of the required quality and quantity.
3. Supervision of Subordinates:
o Continuously monitor and oversee the tasks of subordinates to ensure they are completed effectively and efficiently.
4. Housekeeping and Maintenance:
o Maintain a clean working environment and ensure good housekeeping practices are upheld.
o Assist the Boiler Supervisor in carrying out off-crop overhauling activities.
5. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
o Ensure adherence to the company’s safety, health, and environmental policies.
6. Other Duties:
o Perform any other tasks assigned by the Boiler Supervisor or management.

C. Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience
C1.1 Education:
• A First Grade Trade Test Certificate in boiler operations.
• A Master Crafts Certificate is an added advantage.
C1.2 Experience, Skills, and Competencies:
• Experience:
o Minimum of two (2) years of working experience in a related field.
• Technical Skills:
o Knowledge of fire hazard management and control.
o Good understanding of machinery functioning principles and procedures.
• Soft Skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
