Store Nutritionist at Flip Africa
Position Overview:
The Store Nutritionist is primarily stationed in the food supplements, bodybuilding, and other specialized category aisles within the outlet. Their key responsibility is to assist shoppers and consumers on their journey toward optimal health through personalized food and nutrition advice. The Healthy U Nutritionist is not a Dietician in the context of the retail shopper journey. Their role is designed to complement a consumer's ongoing treatment for specific health conditions and address preventative health gaps through diet recommendations across all age groups. Their advice is not a substitute for medical guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactive Engagement & Product Sales: Engage with shoppers and consumers on the shop floor, offering expert advice and recommending specialized health products tailored to their needs.
- Custom Diet/Meal Planning: Assist in creating personalized diet and meal plans for customers, taking into account their preferences, dietary needs, and budget.
- Sharing Knowledge with Team Members: Actively share food and nutrition knowledge with other team members, ensuring they are informed about the store’s products and categories to better support customer needs.
- Cross-Selling Relevant Health Products: Cross-sell other health products that complement customer needs, such as recommending sugar-free products when assisting diabetic customers with supplements to promote healthy eating.
Qualifications & Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of food and nutrition, particularly in the context of health and wellness products.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- A proactive and sales-driven approach to customer interactions.
- Knowledge of current health trends and dietary requirements.
- Ability to create customized solutions based on individual needs.
Expected Deliverables:
- High level of engagement and customer satisfaction in health product sales.
