Supply of Furniture for Staff – URC/AfDB/Goods/2024-25/003

1. The Uganda Railways Corporation has allocated/received funds from the African Development Bank for the acquisition of Furniture for staff.

2. The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above supplies.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, Cap 205 and the Regulations made under the Act and is open to all bidders.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 8(a) from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

5. The Bidding Documents which has been prepared in the English language may be purchased by interested bidders at 8(b) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000 (Uganda Shillings Fifty thousand only). The method of payment will be through at Stan Bic Bank directly to URC Account Number: 9030014700918 in the name of Uganda Railways Corporation and a URC payment receipt is issued upon receipt of payment at Accounts Office, Room 5, 1st Floor Main Building.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8(c) at or before 11:00am on 28th May, 2026. [If appropriate, include the following: All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of (UGX 6,258,720 in local currency or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency). Bid security must be valid until Tuesday 8th October, 2026. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 8(d) at 11:30am on 28th May, 2026.

7. There shall not be a pre-bid meeting/site visit on the dates indicated in the proposed schedule in this notice.
