Innovation Streams Limited (istreams) is a Ugandan I.T company that empowers businesses and the community in Africa with suitable and affordable technologies that meet, simplify and exceed their needs. We currently support more than 400 businesses and thousands of individuals in Uganda. We are a team of young, innovative and dynamic tech-enthusiasts that build computer systems, provide services and solutions to businesses in Uganda. We are looking for a talented ‘innovative stream’ to join our team of ‘innovation streams’.

Role:  The software trainer will be responsible for end user training and support for Stre@mline clients (hospitals). They will train hospital staff including: doctors, nurses, lab technicians, pharmacy staff, cashiers, accountants, administrators, etc. at hospital sites. The trainer will also perform the role of a change management expert providing expertise and support to Go-Live activities. Our flagship product Stre@mline is disrupting the healthcare space and helping more than 300,000 patients and used by more than 1,000 clinicians and administrative staff.

Other roles include:
•    Documenting feedback from the clients and following up to ensure that their demands are met
•    Maintaining relationship with the customers
•    Developing digital educational material (e.g. videos, support content and user manuals).
•    Documenting software updates deployed to clients
•    Documenting training agendas, sign-in sheets, etc. to demonstrate trainee compliance with department requirements.
•    Act as the primary point of contact for allocated customers for ICT support issues.
•    Document technical issues faced in the field and publish them on the istreams blog
•    Bill clients and write invoices on behalf of istreams for the work done in the field
•    Build very good customer-istreams relations

Reporting: The Trainer will report to the head of Customer support

Qualifications
•    Degree in Information technology, Business Computing, Marketing or related field
•    Excellent understanding of how computer software works
•    Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills
•    Prior experience carrying out training/ marketing roles shall be an added advantage.
•    You will need to show: communication and interpersonal skills, analytical skills, the ability to use initiative, the capacity to work under pressure, creativity, drive, flexibility, numeracy, teamwork, influencing and negotiation skills, oral and written skills, business awareness and IT literacy.

Work hours
Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Work location
The Software trainer will sit at the Istreams office located on High Street, Mbarara Town, Plot 76/78 La Grande Mall and at Lumumba Avenue, Soliz House, Kampala.
This task will require 50% time in the field.
