JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Social Media Specialist role is to plan, implement and monitor BSA's Social Media strategy in order to increase Project activity awareness, and relay information to the different stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement and manage BSA social media strategy
  2. Manage and oversee social media content;
  3. Measure the success of every social media campaign;
  4. Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies;
  5. Attend educational conferences related to social networking;
  6. Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing;
  7. Collaborate with other units in gathering useful content for sharing on social media;
  8. Monitor user engagement and suggest content optimization;
  9. Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Personal Requirements

  • A Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • A Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Experience as a Social Media Strategist with in-depth knowledge using social media for brand awareness and impressions.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices.
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing.
  • Excellent multitasking skills

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
