Job Summary:
The Social Media Marketing Officer will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring the company’s social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engage existing and potential clients, and support business development goals. The ideal candidate is creative, analytical, and deeply knowledgeable about social media trends and tools, with experience in financial services or customer-centric industries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy Development & Execution
- Develop and execute a social media strategy aligned with company goals and target audience behavior.
- Create and maintain a content calendar for platforms including Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp Business.
- Coordinate social media campaigns to promote financial literacy, micro-loans, savings products, and other services.
2. Content Creation
- Design and publish engaging content (text, image, video, and infographics) to promote products and customer success stories.
- Work with graphic designers and external agencies where necessary to produce high- quality visuals and videos.
- Ensure all content complies with brand guidelines and industry regulations.
3. Community Management
- Actively engage with followers, respond to queries, comments, and complaints in a timely, professional manner.
- Build and manage online communities, including groups and forums where appropriate.
4. Advertising & Promotions
- Plan and manage paid social media advertising campaigns to increase visibility and drive leads.
- Monitor ad performance, optimize for ROI, and produce campaign reports.
5. Analytics & Reporting
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media growth, engagement, and conversion.
- Use tools like Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and other relevant platforms to analyze performance and suggest improvements.
- Prepare weekly/monthly social media performance reports for management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media marketing, preferably within financial services, fintech, or the development sector.
- Proven experience managing paid campaigns.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Graphic design, photography, or basic video editing skills are an added advantage.
- Familiarity with microfinance products and low-income customer segments is desirable.
