JOB DETAILS:
The Skilling Instructor will be responsible for delivering hands-on training and mentorship to students enrolled in the Wilmat Skilling Facility. The instructor will provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in their area of expertise, ensuring students are equipped with the competencies needed to pursue meaningful employment or entrepreneurial opportunities. The role also involves assessing student progress, maintaining a conducive learning environment, and contributing to the development of relevant training curricula.
We are currently seeking Hairdressing Instructor (01) and Tailoring, Fashion, and Design Instructor (01) to join our dedicated team. As an Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in equipping our students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen professions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATION:
• Conduct theoretical and practical training sessions based on the set curriculum and training schedules.
• Demonstrate step-by-step processes for acquiring vocational skills in a clear and engaging manner.
• Provide personalized support to students to help them master skills effectively.
• Encourage creativity and innovation in the application of acquired skills.
• Assist in developing or refining training curricula and instructional materials to align with market demands.
• Assess and document student performance, attendance, and progress through practical tests, assignments, and observations.
• Ensure that training tools, equipment, and materials are used efficiently and maintained in good condition.
• Possession of a DIT (Directorate of Industrial Training) Certificate is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience of 1-2 years in instructional roles, preferably within the Iganga or Bugweri District.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring, with a commitment to student success.
• Female instructors are highly encouraged to apply, as we strive for gender inclusivity in our programs.
• Proficiency in both Lusoga and English languages is essential for effective communication with students.
• Must be residing within Bugweri District or Iganga or Bugiri District respectively.
• Immediate availability to start work is preferred.
