Job Description
The site supervisor is responsible for planning, defining and managing company projects related to after-sale service. She/he will work within a team of the supervisor, QS and Project Manager to manage the execution of a project. The Site Supervisor will directly manage engineers and fundis on-site and ensure that the client is highly satisfied with the execution, quality, and speed of closing the project. The Site Supervisor will report to the Country Manager and give daily reports on how the project is going.
A bit about you
You need to have a strong background as a mechanical engineering Management and Site management. You must be meticulous, organized and keen on details. This position will require a self-motivated individual of all trades and will work across multiple parts of the business. It will require you to roll-up your sleeves and get dirty with it.
Preferred candidates Profile
• Experience as site supervisor / on garage and petroleum equipment mechanical background.
• Experience with mechanical engineering
• Independently able to take measurements and report into a country manager
• Strong communication skills in word and in writing
• Valid driving license
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical,
• Two -year solid field mechanical experience required
•Exposure to electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance and major projects essential.
· • Sound man management, communication, interpersonal, leadership and planning skills.
Responsibilities
• Create and the control program of works
• Enforce (health and safety) regulations on site
• Manage resources (people/material) on site
• Clear communication with the country manager
• Keep track of issues, variations, requests and changes from customer and immediately report to manager change BQ.
• Conduct quality control daily
• Help office quantity surveyor with take-offs and quotations
• Help office project manager with a program of works and regulations
• Develop the maintenance strategy and plans so as to ensure the continuous availability of assets
