Job Role/Purpose
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Sales Executive to drive the sales of our Data Centre colocation services to enterprise clients. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the telecommunications, technology, or data centre industry, capable of engaging at the C-level and leading complex, high-value sales transactions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, driving revenue growth, and shaping the commercial strategy for Company.
Job Responsibilities
1. Executive-Level Engagement
- Build and sustain strong relationships with C-level executives and senior decision-makers in key industries such as telecommunications, finance, cloud services, and government.
- Articulate organization’s value proposition in alignment with customers' digital transformation and infrastructure strategies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, driving strategic conversations that position the organization as a preferred data centre service provider.
2. Strategic Business Development & Growth
- Develop and execute a market penetration strategy to expand the organization’s
- enterprise client base.
- Identify, pursue, and close high-value deals with large organizations requiring scalable, secure, and high-performance data centre solutions.
- Utilize market intelligence and competitor analysis to drive business growth and differentiate organization’s offerings.
3. Solution Consultation & Client Needs Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to understand clients' technical, operational, and financial requirements.
- Work closely with technical and product teams to design tailored colocation, connectivity, and cloud solutions that address specific business challenges.
- Provide insights on industry trends, regulatory changes, and evolving customer needs to enhance the organisation’s service offerings.
4. Proposal Development & Presentation
- Develop compelling proposals, business cases, and presentations for prospective clients, ensuring alignment with their digital infrastructure needs.
- Clearly communicate complex technical concepts in a way that resonates with senior business leaders and decision-makers.
- Lead high-impact sales presentations and negotiations to secure long-term contracts.
5. High-Value Sales Execution & Deal Closing
- Drive the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution, ensuring timely and successful deal closure.
- Negotiate commercial terms, SLAs, and contractual agreements that align with both client objectives and organization’s business goals.
- Consistently exceed revenue targets by leveraging deep industry knowledge and exceptional deal-making skills.
6. Market Intelligence & Industry Leadership
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in the data centre, cloud, and enterprise IT industries to anticipate customer needs.
- Represent the organization in key industry forums, conferences, and networking events to strengthen brand visibility.
- Provide strategic input to internal teams on product innovation and market expansion opportunities.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Telecommunications, IT, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in senior-level sales, business development, or key account management within the telecommunications, technology, or data centre sectors.
- Proven track record in complex enterprise sales, engaging at the C-level, and closing multi-million-dollar contracts.
- Strong understanding of data centre colocation, cloud computing, managed services, and enterprise connectivity solutions.
- Experience working in a management team, contributing to commercial strategy and organizational growth.
