Activités

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supportall aspects of the company's future development activities. The job holder actively participates, propose and share the benefit of its experience in acquisition, interpretation, dynamic synthesis, basic reservoir engineering practices and well productivity/injectivity. S/He guarantees the quality check of the dynamic modelling, production profiles and associated resources.
  • Under the supervision of the Head of Reservoir, contributes & propose the well dynamic data acquisition programs, well interventions, data interpretation and dynamic modelling. Contributes to the well placement and trajectory definition when updating the geological models.
  • Optimize the PI/II of the wells, Artificial Lift efficiency with or within the Well Performance group.
  • Optimize the development plan of the fields.
  • Use the principal techniques of reservoir engineering related to his/ her activity (well test interpretation, material balance, production analysis, recovery mechanism and its impact on the development pattern, use of analogy, production forecasting both for production and injection).
  • Performs and guarantees reservoir data analysisand the dynamic synthesis.
  • Participates in the 2G&R synthesis and guarantees the consistency of the selected hypothesis with the 2G part.
  • In charge of building reference data base (simulation, reservoir data & synthesis).
  • Participates in the building of the reservoir model on the reservoir engineering aspects with the team geophysicist, geologist as well as incorporating the specialties. Focuses in optimizing the fluid flow modelling considering the heterogeneities and the recovery mechanism selected.
  • Participates and guarantees the definition and the optimization of the development pattern.
  • Participates in the evaluation of the reserves and resources evaluation and in the generation of the associated production profiles.
  • Participates in 2G&R integration to best evaluate the uncertainties related to the project and implements dynamic uncertainty studies. Guarantees robust uncertainties studies
  • Participates in the definition of the data acquisition strategy to reduce uncertainties, derisk resources and to ensure good reservoir engineering practice during the future production period. This work concretizes in the participation of the writing of the related RMP (Reservoir Management Plan).
  • Participates in the reservoir target optimization, and related development pattern to insure maximizing the recovery factor. This involves development well trajectories updates with D&W.Strong focus is also required in the PI / II definition with related impact on surface facilities that shall be integrating at any stage of the study (PWRI, Cap Rock Integrity, Water Treatment, water heating.
  • Incorporates the cost discipline, honors the Project deadlines and the Project objectives.
  • The job holder should develop his expertise level and should contribute to the improvement of the simulation skills (IX, EST) of the rest of the reservoir engineering team. Supervises the field monitoring activities / Accountable for the validity and consistency of reservoir related data.
  • Ensure compliance with Company technical and HSE rules.

Contexte et environnement

Green Field Project, Tilenga is a remote location in UGANDA near Albert lake with particular sensitive environmental conditions. Huge onshore challenging project; heavy and waxy oils produced from 31 drilling pads, (with some of them located in a national park) and treated in a Production Center of 200,000bopd oil capacity and 650,000 bld of water treatment capacity. Reservoir pressure maintenance is ensured either by water injection or by polymer water injection depending on the reservoirs characteristics. The project also includes an extended interconnecting network with temperature preservation.

Multicultural environment: Contractors are anticipated to be located in various parts of the world. Ugandan rules and regulations, administrative requirements and technical authorizations as well as International codes for onshore plant will apply.
