Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
• Develop and maintain structured project plans, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, and accountability.
• Track progress, identify risks, and proactively solve problems to keep projects on schedule.
• Ensure all workstreams are documented, monitored, and reported with clarity and precision.
Process Optimization & Operational Efficiency
• Implement best-in-class project management methodologies to streamline execution.
• Continuously improve internal processes, workflows, and reporting systems.
• Build and manage trackers, dashboards, and performance tools to enhance visibility and accountability.
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
• Act as the central coordination point between internal teams, investors, funders, and external partners.
• Facilitate meetings, resolve misalignment, and ensure seamless collaboration.
• Develop and deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and strategic updates.
Problem-Solving & Decision Support
• Apply structured problem-solving techniques to overcome execution challenges.
• Conduct scenario planning and data analysis to support senior leadership decisions.
• Identify and address gaps in execution, team alignment, and operational processes.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
• Implement project tracking tools and reporting frameworks to ensure visibility into progress.
• Provide concise, data-driven updates to leadership and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of experience, including work with a top-tier consulting firm or in high-performance project management roles.
• Strong project management expertise, with a track record of executing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to identify and solve bottlenecks, keeping teams and projects aligned.
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, capable of producing high-impact reports, presentations and financial models.
• A high degree of adaptability, emotional intelligence and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience engaging senior executives and funders.
• Experience with project tracking tools, OKRs/KPIs and performance management systems.
• Familiarity with the private-sector, startups or donor-funded programs.
• Open to both expatriate candidates and African nationals with strong professional networks and international experience.
