JOB DETAILS:

Primary function:

• Support Production Superintendent to manage production processes and related equipment and ensure production safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities: 

• • Participate in pre-production preparation during the project period.
  • Participate in engineering work, audit, and supply production-related technical support and advice during design, construction, and pre-commissioning.
  • Participate in new oil field production commissioning and start-up plan preparation and organize execution. Collect and follow up production-related issues left out by the Engineering Team.
  • Prepare Emergency response as per Emergency Response Plan, coordinate with oilfield manager to carry out emergency handling.
  • Participate in oilfield onsite production and related equipment and personnel management.
  • Coordinate resources and teams to ensure safe, stable operation of oil/water wells and production processes, monitor and report key parameters, and prevent abnormalities to optimize and maximize oilfield production.
  • Ensure oil and water treatment quality management meets specifications, and other production-related index controlling.
  • Supervise chemical onsite testing and evaluation.
  • Prepare production-related spares purchase requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Kampala Engineers team to prepare production-related annual work program and CAPEX/OPEX budget, and supervise their proper execution
  • Supervise production-related contractors to carry out onsite work safely.
  • Conduct onsite production-related national staff training program and career development.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by superior.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years’ experience in Oil & Gas production. Including 4 years’ oilfield onsite experience and at least 2 years’ lead operator.

Knowledge:

• Extensive knowledge of development and production
• Extensive experience in oil production management
• Familiar with international oil industry practice
