To support the development of the M&E and Knowledge Management function of the Commission and ensure provision of timely information on Commission operational plans, projects/initiatives to inform strategic decision-making

Primary Tasks/Responsibilities
• Provide Technical support in the development and strengthening of Monitoring and Evaluation systems in the Commission to allow for effective, accurate reporting for decision-making and project implementation.
• Monitor all initiatives/projects in the organization to ensure that they are aligned to a strategic objective and have a benefit realization plan with timing and responsibility specified.
• Ensure relevant and timely M&E information/reports is provided in user-friendly formats to key stakeholders. In addition, coordinate the information gathering process with departments to ensure timeliness and quality.
• Monitor the implementation of the Commission’s strategy and initiatives in line with the M&E frameworks in place.
• Provide timely response to information and data requests from various internal and external stakeholders on the performance and functions of the Commission.
• Prepare reports related to corporate strategies and functions of the Commission for internal and external audiences as required in a timely manner.
• Review designs of projects and initiatives to ensure support, collection of timely and quality performance related data.
• 10. Keep abreast of developments in Commission projects/ initiatives changes and progress in order to advise and recommend tools and strategies to improve project/ initiative performance and results.
• Track and update M&E data as well as performing regular field project visits to ensure accuracy, timeliness and quality of data collected and reported across different initiatives and projects.
• Provide technical support to the Commission project managers in the development of project log frames including defining and implementing the key project performance indicators (KPI) as well as monitoring them throughout their timelines.
• Provide technical support to the Heads of department, Project Managers and project evaluators (both internal and external) in the design of tools, protocols and procedures for project evaluations
• Liaise with and provide information to senior management where evaluation findings have implications for policy and program development and improvement. In addition, identify opportunities for operational research to inform improvement in the regulatory function of the Commission and adoption of best practices
• Any other duties as shall be assigned by the Head, Strategy and Business Planning

Education and Professional qualifications
• A Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Business, Monitoring and Evaluation, or related field from a recognized University and
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Development planning or related field from a recognized University.
Working Experience
Four (4) years’ experience in a similar function in a similar Corporate Setting
