About Organisation:

Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority (UFZEPA) is a Statutory Government Agency established by the Free Zones (Amendment) Act 30 of 2024, and is responsible for the establishment, development, management, marketing, maintenance, supervision and control of Free Zones; the development, promotion and coordination of all export-related activities; and to provide for related matters.

Job Summary: To provide technical support and guidance on management of international trade and export of products and services

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and disseminate guidelines on export marketing requirements and standards
• Develop product/service profiles for exporters and business community
• Monitor and report on export performance and trends using data analytics
• Provide exporter-after-care and handholding of potential exporters
• Conduct market scoping studies in specific foreign markets
• Carry out trade data analysis on volumes, values, trends and patterns
• Facilitate online marketing of products/services by Ugandan firms
• Execute digital marketing campaigns to reach international markets
• Facilitate outreach programs and export clinics to producer/manufacturer/exporter associations
• Supervise and appraise staff

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, International Business, Business Administration, Economics, Agricultural Economics or Agribusiness OR Full professional qualification/membership of Marketing (CIM)

Work Experience

• At least 3 years’ experience at Officer level in a reputable organization
