• Purpose:
The Senior Environment Officer ensures the implementation of environmental conservation programs and policies within the district, safeguarding natural resources.
• Responsibilities:
o Develop and implement district environmental action plans and programs.
o Conduct environmental impact assessments for ongoing and proposed projects.
o Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and laws.
o Engage with communities to promote sustainable environmental practices.
o Prepare environmental management reports and recommendations for improvement.
• Qualifications and Experience:
o Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
o At least 3 years of relevant experience in environmental conservation or management.
o Proficiency in environmental laws, policies, and practices.

Applications are to be submitted in triplicate on Public Service Form 3 (PSF 3) (Revised 2008) and ESC Form No.3 (Revised 2008) for teachers to the Secretary, District Service Commission, P.O. Box 01, Mbarara.
Those already in Government Service should route their applications through their Responsible Officers who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay.

Certified photocopies of all Academic qualifications and certificates.
