Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Senior Crane Technician to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy lifting equipment. This includes Terex and Liebherr cranes, CAT forklifts, and Genie manlifts. The role also involves quality control, diagnostics, and support for workshop inventory and safety compliance.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities

Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on all mobile and stationary equipment, including cranes, forklifts, trucks, and other vehicles/equipment in RUL’s inventory.
  • Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues with minimal supervision.
  • Execute preventative and predictive maintenance schedules to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Lead quality control analyses and failure analysis for all lifting machinery post-repair.
  • Conduct PAT inspections and system calibrations for all electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with international standards.

Technical Oversight:

  • Interpret and apply technical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to execute maintenance and repair tasks effectively.
  • Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies to maintain inventory and support operations.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Contribute to setting schedules for the proper utilization and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

Inventory and Equipment Control:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels in coordination with the Workshop Supervisor Assistant and HSEQ Representative.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are accounted for and maintained in good working condition.
  • Manage and execute parts requisitions for maintenance and repair processes

Health, Safety, and Quality:

  • Maintain safe working conditions and comply with Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Adhere to company policies, including safety protocols and use of protective equipment.
  • Support the management in preparation for ISO 9001 certification/re-certification.

Team Collaboration and Additional Duties:

  •  Collaborate with the integrated operations team to achieve workshop goals and implement continuous system improvements, taking into consideration operational needs.
  • Assist with training and sharing technical knowledge with colleagues to foster a learning environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the EMPLOYER to meet organizational needs.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and perform field repairs as required
