JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare all sauces, gravies, and stocks for the kitchen.
- Sauté meats, fish, and vegetables to order.
- Create and maintain consistent quality and flavor for all signature sauces.
- Coordinate closely with the Chef de Partie and other stations to ensure seamless service.
- Taste and season all dishes prepared at the station accurately.
- Manage inventory for the sauce station, including herbs, spices, and dairy.
Qualifications:
- Formal culinary training is highly desirable.
- Significant experience as a Commis or Demi Chef de Partie, specifically in sauce preparation.
- In-depth knowledge of mother sauces, derivatives, and various cuisines.
- Exceptional palate and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders during peak service.
