Sales Representative – On commission basis
Reports to; Manager Business Development and Marketing
Duty station; Field work
Supervises; None
Main purpose of the job
The Sales Representative will be responsible for implementing approved marketing and sales activities in a professional manner in order to meet the overall sales and marketing objectives of JMS in the assigned market segment.
Key duties and Responsibilities
• Act as a liaison between JMS and the different stakeholders in the assigned region and
• resolve or report any pertinent issues.
• Promote Joint Medical Store products and services in the assigned territory.
• Recruit new customers for JMS and implement initiatives to retain them.
• Provide relevant technical support to customers and stakeholders.
• Prepare the ground for territorial events and marketing campaigns.
• Conduct regular customer visits to get business, recruit new customers to grow our
• customer base.
• Identify business opportunities through the tender system.
• Introduce new products in the market to grow sales revenue.
• Carry out market surveys to inform decision making on market strategies.
• Identify new business opportunities and target to sell to particular customers’ segments.
• Compile and submit reports in line with reporting lines.
Academic Qualifications
Minimum qualification is a Diploma in Pharmacy, Clinical Medicine, Nursing, or Medical
Laboratory Technology or Degree in Biomedical engineering
Additional training
• Good training and experience in marketing of pharmaceutical products is desirable.
• Computer literacy including experience in use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proven experience in customer and market research.
• Strong clinical knowledge
• Valid class A driving license/Moto Cycle license.
