What we are looking for

We are looking for a passionate, experienced salesperson who wants to help disrupt the food ecosystem in East Africa. We are looking to grow our product and help millions of people ensure they have food at the end of the day.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others, care about solving challenges and providing equitable access to food. Ideally, this person will be highly motivated, independent, and a self-starter. They will be our face across Uganda- traveling to develop customers and clients through relationship building independently. This Is a unique position with a ton of growth opportunities (with a proven track record); this position will report directly to the CEO.

What does the job involve

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team

Qualifications

 

  • Have 5+ years direct sales experience (ideally with a B2B focus)
  • Willing to travel to meet customers.
  • Willing to manage others (as our team grows)
  • Have a great attitude and be willing and eager to learn.
  • Be personal and able to foster relationships with customers and gather feedback on our products.
  • Understand the sales process and be able to close deals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Flexible to help complete work across the company (startups occasionally need people to work across jobs to support the company)
  • Be fluent in Luganda and English (Kiswahili is a bonus)
