JOB DETAILS:

We’re hiring a Sales Manager to drive growth in Uganda. Your responsibilities
will include identifying new customers, managing the whole sales cycle, and
closing deals. We’re looking for someone with a strong background in telecoms
and fintech sales. This job is perfect for someone who loves building sales
portfolios across various industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical and functional presentations and product demonstrations
    tailored to potential clients, showcasing a deep understanding of eTranzact
    Platform Limited (EPL) products.
  • Collaborate with prospective clients to assess their needs and determine how
    the EPL products can address them, identifying any gaps.
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals
    (RFPs).

 

  • Develop detailed proposals customized to meet clients' requirements and align with EPL’s capabilities.
  • Liaise with our Global product team, development, and delivery teams to address customer needs effectively.
  • Lead negotiations, including contract negotiation stages, to secure deals.
  • Cultivate relationships across the region to uncover new opportunities.
  • Work with our marketing team to develop targeted sales campaigns.
  • Effectively manage time between short-term and long-term opportunities.
  • Onboarding customers of Xcel App and working closely with our partners countrywide.

Sales Management:

  • Proven track record of successful industry sales.
  • Proficiency in selling to banks, FMCGs, SACCOs, and fintech companies.
  • Ability to identify and address challenges faced by fintech companies, encompassing technological, regulatory, and commercial aspects.
  • Proven capability to generate quality leads and achieve high conversion rates.
  • Ability to quickly understand what clients need and have knowledgeable conversations about the technical and business parts of proposals.
  • Skilled in conducting negotiations and closing deals.
  • Adept at building strong relationships with decision-makers.
  • Experience in fast-paced startups and/or selling enterprise products in established companies.
  • Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience in sales, business development, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of building and managing successful sales and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passion for sustainability and a solid understanding of financial products and FINTECH trends and challenges
