Our mission is to empower financial institutions with tools to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and provide better financial services to underserved communities. Our primary market is Uganda, with a goal to acquire 50 new clients annually.

Job Summary
Zimba Technologies is seeking an experienced and strategic Sales Manager to lead and manage our sales team. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, managing the entire sales pipeline, setting sales targets for the team, and supporting individual team members to close deals. This role also involves direct engagement with the executive team, providing reports, insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement. The ultimate goal is to meet and exceed annual sales targets while fostering a high-performance sales culture.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of Salespersons to achieve high performance.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development for sales team members.

• Conduct regular performance reviews, set KPIs, and track progress toward individual and team goals.

Sales Strategy & Target Setting
• Develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with Zimba Technologies’ growth objectives.
• Set annual sales targets for the team and individual sales representatives.

• Work closely with senior management to align sales goals with overall business strategy.

Deal Support & Pipeline Management
• Actively support team members in prospecting, client engagement, and closing key deals.
• Oversee the entire sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a balanced and healthy pipeline.

• Step in to directly negotiate and close high-priority deals as needed.

Sales Analytics & Reporting
• Track, analyze, and report on team performance, pipeline health, and overall sales activity.
• Provide regular reports and insights to the executive team, highlighting opportunities and risks.
• Use CRM tools to maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, and customer interactions.
• 5. Relationship Management
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the microfinance sector.
• Represent Zimba Technologies at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Team Sales Targets: Achieve the team’s annual goal of 50 new client acquisitions.
• Pipeline Management: Maintain an active and balanced sales pipeline for the team.
• Team Development: Ensure the development and high performance of all sales team members.
• Revenue Growth: Contribute to the overall revenue growth for Zimba Technologies.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within fintech, B2B software, or microfinance solutions.
• Proven track record of successfully managing a sales team and achieving ambitious sales targets.
• Deep understanding of microfinance sector operations and the financial services industry.

• Deal Closing: Proven ability to negotiate and close high-value deals.

• Data Analysis: Proficient in using CRM software and sales analytics tools to track and optimize performance.
• Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
