About US:

ICEA General Insurance is one of the largest insurance and financial services providers in East Africa. With extensive network in Uganda, we are now looking for Insurance Agents to be based in one of its branches in Mbale.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify new markets and schedule meetings with potential clients.
• Provide a consultative approach to create an innovative solution(s) that best fits the needs of each individual client.
• Acquisitions and retention of the key accounts in the corporate and individual market established
• Build and strengthen working relationships with clients and earn their trust through follow up on the developed accounts
• Prepare and submit weekly progressive reports and avail status updates to the Branch manager

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business or social science related courses.
• A professional qualification in Insurance, sales and marketing is an added advantage.
• Possess strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
• Broad knowledge and understanding of the global insurance landscape and place a priority on client service
• Extensive work experience is not a requirement, but dedication to learning and a true passion for the business are vital.
• Show commitment to personal growth and career development, a strong desire to learn, and success in team environments.
• Knowledge of the global or domestic business landscape (preferred, but not required)
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• Desire to develop a deep understanding of the insurance industry
• Unquestioned commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making
• Skills: Market research, intelligence, Business to Business (B2B) sales, Entrepreneurship, General insurance, Sales performance tracking and reporting, Sales strategy, Marketing
