Victoria Motors Limited is one of the oldest General Machinery group companies, which was incorporated in 1980 in Uganda. The Motoring division has grown over time and prides its presence in Uganda and Rwanda. Victoria Motors is at the peak of finance and operating leasing with over 15 years of experience, and is seeking to recruit young, dynamic, energetic individuals to fill the position of Sales Executives in Victoria Motors. The Sales Executive will be responsible for sourcing customers for its products and will report directly to the Sales and Marketing Manager.

Job Description/Requirements

The Motoring division has grown over time and prides its presence in Uganda and Rwanda. Victoria Motors is at the peak of finance and operating leasing with over 15 years of experience, and is seeking to recruit young, dynamic, energetic individuals to fill the position of Sales Executives in Victoria Motors. The Sales Executive will be responsible for sourcing customers for its products and will report directly to the Sales and Marketing Manager.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Increase Victoria Motors' Sales through marketing of brands for Renault, UD Trucks, and
  • Mitsubishi Motor Vehicles. Identify new sales opportunities and increase sales through marketing of the above products.
  • Participate in promotional activities, improve and maintain brand visibility and positioning in the market for effective customer satisfaction.
  • Execute business development plans that result in near and long-term revenue growth for the company with emphasis on Trucks.
  • Achieve current year sales, monthly set targets and Revenue Targets.
  • Market the vehicles/trucks and maintain quality customer service by taking part in launches and business forums.
  • Develop relationships and sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs, and anticipating new opportunities.
  • Drive alignment with the franchise partners while enhancing company deliverables to meet or exceed established franchise partner goals.
  • Conduct market research and maintain close contact with customers to promote sales.
  • Obtain market intelligence on competition, market trends and customers’ needs.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Submit daily sales reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager.
  • Collect information about customers, the market and competitors and submit weekly reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager.
  • Prepare necessary documentation in response to bids and tenders
  • Ensure that orders are processed, invoiced and delivered within the agreed timelines.
  • Provide support in revenue collection by following up on invoices issued to customers.
  • Liaise with the stores department to stay informed on the availability of parts and Inventory.
  • Follow up on customers’ feedback and channel it to the relevant departments promptly.
  • Coordinate and provide reports to Sales Coordinators on all activities.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Academic Qualifications:

He/She should possess a minimum of a Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Economics, & Development Economics, Business Studies, International Business, Business Statistics, Sales & Marketing, Public relations, Quantitative Economics and any other relevant/related field.

Job-related experience:

  • Should have a minimum of 3 years related experience in sales & marketing.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good at time management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mature, self-initiative and outgoing.
  • Results-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Team player.

Person Specifications:

  • Should be willing to work in any part of the country.
  • Should be energetic with a high degree of innovativeness, creativity and ambition.
  • Should have a high degree of integrity, excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Should be fluent in commonly used local languages.
  • Must be able to meet set targets.
