Job summary;

The Sales Executive's role is to sell products and services to individuals, businesses, and government organizations. They approach potential customers, maintain relationships with existing clients, and aim for repeat business. They drive sales growth, build relationships with key customers, and use their expertise to achieve success in a competitive sales environment.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sales and Promotion

  • Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers using persuasive arguments and in-depth product knowledge.

2. Customer Analysis and Relationship Management

  • Conduct cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential customers to understand their requirements and offer tailored solutions.
  • Establish, develop, and nurture positive business relationships with customers to foster loyalty and enhance overall satisfaction.

3. Business Development

  • Proactively reach out to customer leads through cold calling and proactive prospecting to generate new business opportunities.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to ensure maximum satisfaction and long-term customer loyalty.

4. Sales Performance and Coordination

  • Achieve assigned sales targets and outcomes within the agreed schedule through effective sales activity management.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and collaborate with other departments to ensure streamlined sales operations.

5. Market Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyse market potential and territory dynamics, track sales performance, and provide timely status reports.
  • Gather customer-related data and provide management with insights on customer needs, issues, interests, competitive activities, and identify potential for new products and services.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, market trends, and promotional strategies to adapt sales approaches and enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Seek feedback and actively pursue opportunities for professional development to improve sales skills and achieve better results.

7. Lead Follow-up and Data Management

  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity, converting them into sales opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date client data and maintain regular follow-up on leads and opportunities.

8. Sales Reporting and Strategy

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, interpreting the data to design effective sales strategies.
  • Conduct market and trend analysis, contribute to the Annual Operational Plans, and report on product performance.

9. Debt Collection and Brand Representation

  • Collect debts against invoices promptly and efficiently (NO handling of cash payments).
  • Represent the firm's brand, maintaining a professional image while fulfilling the role.

10. Reporting and Collaboration

  • Report to the Sales and Marketing Manager, providing regular updates on sales activities and performance.
  • Take responsibility for field marketing and direct field sales activities.

11. Evaluation and Performance Monitoring

  • Develop daily evaluation reports to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.

Specification

  • Candidate must have at least completed A ‘level
  • Working experience in a tyre industry (added advantage)
  • Ability to ride a motorcycle with a permit (added advantage)
