Job Description/Requirements
The Sales and Marketing Manager at Masheda Palms will be responsible for creating and executing strategies that drive revenue growth, increase brand awareness, and expand the resort's customer base. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, with a focus on both digital and traditional marketing techniques. This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through innovative marketing and sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and Implement Sales Plans:
- Design and implement annual, quarterly and monthly sales strategies to achieve revenue goals across all segments (group, leisure, corporate, weddings, events, etc.).
- Identify new business opportunities, nurture relationships with potential clients, and actively prospect for new leads and accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, travel agents, meeting planners, and event organizers.
- Negotiate contracts and secure long-term business relationships with clients and partners.
Revenue and Budget Management:
- Monitor and track the resort’s sales performance against targets, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet or exceed objectives.
- Manage the sales budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources for marketing campaigns, promotions, and partnerships.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper pricing strategies and to track revenue from group bookings, packages, and special events.
Marketing and Brand Development:
Brand Strategy and Positioning:
- Ensure the resort’s brand message is consistent across all marketing channels (website, social media, advertising, etc.).
- Help define the resort’s unique selling propositions (USPs) and key differentiators in the marketplace.
- Maintain and strengthen the resort’s presence in the local, regional, and international markets.
Digital Marketing:
- Oversee the resort’s online presence, including managing the website, social media profiles, email marketing, and digital advertising campaigns.
- Optimize the resort’s SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing) efforts to increase online visibility and drive traffic.
- Develop and monitor the resort’s online reputation through review platforms like TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, and social media, addressing feedback and engaging with customers.
Content Creation:
- Lead the development of high-quality, engaging content for the resort’s website, blogs, email newsletters, social media channels, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and content creators to showcase the resort’s features, amenities, and experiences in compelling and visually appealing ways.
Event Marketing and Partnerships:
Group Sales and Event Marketing:
- Develop targeted marketing campaigns for group events, conferences, weddings, and special occasions to drive bookings.
- Organize familiarization (FAM) trips and site visits to attract potential group clients, travel agents, and partners.
- Build relationships with event organizers, wedding planners, and corporate clients to secure new business opportunities for the resort.
Partnerships and Sponsorships:
- Identify and develop partnerships with local businesses, tourism boards, travel agencies, and global distribution channels.
- Collaborate with key industry partners for co-marketing initiatives, joint promotions, and sponsorships to expand the resort’s reach.
Market Research and Analytics:
Competitive Analysis:
- Regularly analyze competitor offerings, market trends, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the resort’s target market, including demographic insights and preferences.
Campaign Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of all sales and marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies based on performance data.
- Report on key metrics such as lead generation, website traffic, conversion rates, social media engagement, and ROI (return on investment).
- Use analytics tools to provide insights into customer behavior and improve future marketing efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the hospitality or resort industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and presentations.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and marketing software (CRM systems, email marketing platforms).
- Experience with budget management and performance analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Experience with a resort, hotel, or luxury brand is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Knowledge of the local and international travel and tourism market.
- Ability to speak multiple languages, especially if the resort serves international guests.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in an office environment as well as attend off-site events and meetings.
- Occasional travel may be required for sales meetings, trade shows, and site visits.
- Ability to lift up to 10kg when preparing marketing materials or setting up promotional events.
