JOB DETAILS:
To drive sales of NASECO’s products at the company sales depot by providing accurate product knowledge, excellent customer service, and basic agronomic advice to walk-in clients, ensuring sales targets are met.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Sales & Customer Service (Primary Role)
• Promote and sell NASECO productsseeds to farmers, agro-dealers, and distributors visiting the depot. • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Process sales transactions, issue receipts/invoices, and handle cash/payment records accurately. • Follow up with customers (e.g., phone calls, messages) to encourage repeat purchases.
2. Agronomic Advisory • Provide general guidance on: o Seed variety selection (best seeds for different regions, seasons and niche markets). o Best agronomic practices (Seed rate, Spacing, fertilizer application, Weed and Pest management etc). o Basic agronomy troubleshooting (pest & disease diagnostics, plant nutrition and product recommendation).
3. Depot Operations & Record-Keeping
• Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable sales desk.
• Update sales records in the company system daily.
• Prepare and submit daily sales reports to the supervisor. 4. Customer Relationship Management
• Build rapport with repeat customers (smallholder farmers, commercial growers, agro-dealers).
• Handle complaints and escalate unresolved issues to the supervisor.
5. Market & Product Knowledge • Stay updated on NASECO’s product portfolio.
• Any other related duties that may be allocated to you from time to time.
Minimum Job Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field (basic agronomy knowledge needed).
Professional Experience:
Two years’ sales experience in any agriculture field preferably in a busy working environment. Competencies: Good understanding of NASECO products; Strong customer service skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Basic computer skills (Excel, sales software) Ability to explain technical products in simple terms Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Computer skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
