Job Summary: We’re on the hunt for a dynamic, experienced, and well-connected Restaurant Manager to lead a vibrant restaurant in Kampala that serves an exciting fusion of Asian and African cuisines. This is not your average restaurant role. We’re looking for someone who hits the ground running, brings fresh ideas to the table, and can move the business to greater heights.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including service quality, staff performance, and customer satisfaction.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with food suppliers, vendors, and key stakeholders in the hospitality industry.
    • Lead and inspire the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
    • Develop and implement strategies to grow customer base, improve brand presence, and increase revenue.
    • Ensure operational excellence across health, safety, hygiene, and customer service standards.
    • Manage budgets, cost controls, inventory, and supplier negotiations.
    • Drive marketing initiatives and events to build buzz around the restaurant.
    • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to ensure innovation and responsiveness.
    • Maintain a strong presence on the floor, interacting with guests to ensure a warm and memorable experience

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with a track record of excellence.
  • A deep understanding of both Asian and African cuisines is highly desirable.
  • Strong professional network in the Kampala F&B and hospitality industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and make quick, effective decisions.
  • Strategic, creative, and data-driven mindset.
  • Tech-savvy and familiar with POS systems, online booking tools, and digital marketing.
  • A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus.
