Resort is an inviting stopover for travellers and a gathering place for the local community. Rooted in a
mission to uplift the region through hospitality and service, our resort combines comfort, cuisine, and
connection in a single, serene location.
We are now seeking an ambitious, proactive, and strategic Restaurant / Highway Stopover
Manager to lead our team and elevate our guest experience.
Your Role:
As the Restaurant / Highway Stopover Manager, you will be at the heart of our day-to-day operations,
ensuring smooth service, energizing the team, and creating a welcoming environment that keeps
customers coming back. You will lead with clarity, care, and commercial sense.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant and stopover operations, including customer service, staff
performance, inventory, and hygiene standards. - Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a diverse team to deliver excellence at every touchpoint.
Maintain a clean, safe, and vibrant atmosphere that reflects Monar’s community-centred values. - Collaborate closely with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure quality, consistency, and timely food
service. - Track and analyse sales, develop growth strategies, and execute promotional initiatives.
- Foster customer relationships, resolve issues promptly, and constantly seek feedback for
improvement. - Coordinate with suppliers and manage budgets efficiently.
- Represent the resort with professionalism and local cultural alignment.

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage customer-facing operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working in high-traffic restaurants or highway stopovers is preferred.
- Willingness to relocate to Ntungamo District.
- Proficiency in Runyakole or Rukiga is a strong advantage (preferred for cultural alignment and
guest engagement).
