About US:

Calsaar Cultural Initiative (CACI) was formed to promote the culture of the minority ethnic groups of Uganda which are more than 12 in number. This has been evidenced by the documentation made by Community Development Resource Network about the Ethnic Minority Groups in a way to improve the lives of these tribes in the country.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To take lead in identifying funding opportunities, listing them, and sharing the information with the Director on time.
  • To assist with funding proposal writing processes. This involves writing project budget plans, and proposals.
  • To assist in mobilizing non-financial resources from private sector entities, individuals, and corporate agencies.
  • To ensure that fundraising and resource mobilization information is up to date on the Calsaar Cultural Initiatives Website.
  • To undertake all other relevant activities as and when assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum master’s degree in social sciences, humanities, development studies, human rights, political science, or other relevant discipline or relevant experience.
  • Excellent English language skills (written, reading and spoken).
  • Minimum of seven years experience with an NGO in a senior program funding position(s) involving proposal development and donor liaison
  • Excellent writing, reasoning, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in developing successful proposals and/or tender bids to the EU, DFID, World Bank, and the UN as well as other institutional donors including but not limited to USAID, NORAD, SIDA, DANIDA GIZ, and Italian Cooperation.
  • Experience in developing successful proposals to private donors-trusts and foundations, high net worth individuals and/or corporations.
